CHAN 2016: CAF N637m largesse awaits Home-Based Eagles

NIGERIA'S Home-Based Eagles stand a chance to pocket the sum of N149, 287, 500 Million if they win the 4th edition of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Rwanda.
NaijaSportsXtra gathered from the Confederation of Africa Football Confederation (CAF) that the winner will be going home with $750,000.
The runner-up will earn $400,000 (about N79, 620, 000), the continent’s football governing body announced this weekend.
Another cherry news for the Home-Based Eagles who arrived Pretoria, South Africa to shape up for the championship will also get a share from the $3.2 million (about N636,960,000 million) will

be shared among the 16 participating teams in the tournament which will start on January 16 end on February 7.
Nigeria who won Bronze in the last edition in South Africa is in Group C with Niger Republic, Tunisia and Guinea.

While in the Rainbow Nation, the Home-Based Eagles are expected to tackle Angola's Palancas Negras and Ivory Coast Elephants in an international friendly game.
