We need a point against Guinea-Oliseh
By Rasaq Oboirien
HOME-Based Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh has charged his wards to make Nigerians happy by picking at least a point against Guinea in today's last Group C game at the Umuganda stadium in Rubavu.
Nigeria who tops the group with 4points, Guinea 2points, Tunisia 2points, Niger Republic 1point, just need a point to make it to the last eight of the African Nations Championship(CHAN) in Rwanda.
“I know we only need a point but Guinea are coming to play for a win which makes the whole situation tough.
“But we are here to give our best and make Nigerians back home happy, we shall go into the game to play for a chance to make the last eight.”
On Chisom Chikatara, "He has not disappointed if the last two games are anything to go by. And much as we are counting on him, we don’t want him to carry the weight of the team alone,” Oliseh added.
Meanwhile, Coach Mohamed Kanfory Bangoura says there won't be any form of schoolboy defending when they lock horns against Nigeria.
“We have been trying to improve our defence, we are making so many mistakes and at this level it’s not acceptable. We have addressed all issues and I hope it reflects in our performance against Nigeria,” added Bangoura.
