COACH Festus Allen says his primary objective for City Of David (COD) FC is slot to compete in the Nigeria Premier League next season.
The ex-Sharks of Port-Harcourt boss was named coach of the Nigeria National League side last week.
Nicknamed after Arsenal boss, 'Wenger', Allen told NaijaSportsXtra in a chat on Monday: "I know City Of David very well, as it's my second spell with the club. "My target for the club at the end of the NNL season is to gain promotion. If the duo of Ikorodu United and MFM FC can do it, why not COD FC.
"The club has the squad that can pick an NPL ticket, looking at the crop of players I have seen since I started training with them.
"But I should know by the end of the Gold Cup tourney in Ijebu-ode if I need to make an addition or subtraction from my squad.
"I hope for the best from the Gold Cup as our first game is against a Nigeria National League side, Crown FC."
