Bayelsa Utd to shop for 20 players

By Rasaq Oboirien
IN its bid to make a quick return to the Nigeria Premier League after been relegated last season, the management of Bayelsa United has stated that it has concluded plans to recruit about 20 new players.
NaijaSportsXtra gathered from Eddy Ohis that: "Having sacked more than 20 players after we got relegation, the management have concluded plans to shop for the same number of players.
"Reason behind the mass sack was simple, as we knew that there was no zeal in players to play for the former Nigeria Premier League champions again.
"The body language of some of them was that of decite even when they assured that they would stay, but in the long run, reports of one Bayelsa United player joining Ifeanyi Ubah, the others Enyimba, Dolphins, Heartland, Plateau United and some others began to surface.
"We are training with the few committed ones that have remained with the club pending the time we conclude recruitment process."
