NaijaSportsXtra can inform that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) listed CHAN 2016 first hat-trick scorer, Chikatara, Ahmed Akaichi Cameroon striker, Yazid Atouba Emane and Ivory Coast skipper, Nguessan Serge for the award.CAF then asked fans to vote via its official twitter handle on who they think deserves to be named the champions mvp.
The ex-Abia Warriors ace was the first player to score 4 goals followed by Tunisia's Akaichi.
N’Guessan made the list after he sealed the win for the Elephants in the 3-0 victory against Cameroon in the quarter-final as his amazing strike in the 111th minute from just inside the Cameroon half could win the goal of the tournament award.
Yazid Atouba Emane has also been on fine form for the local indomitable Lions before the quarter-final exit at the tournament.
Interestingly, the four candidates have won the match mvp awards for their respective countries during the championship.
