NIGERIA Premier League (NPL) duo of Lobi Stars and Giwa FC are on the verge of handing exceptional players with Crown FC and Supreme Court a trial.
The Makurdi side defeated the Fatai Osho team in their first game in the ongoing Gold Cup pre-season tourney in Ijebu-Ode.
A member of the 2015 Federations Cup runners-up technical crew who would want his name and the identities of the players disclosed told NaijaSportsXtra that: “Crown FC have quite a number of players that should be playing in the topflight division.
“They proved themselves against us and so we are looking set to do business with them and Crown FC.
“The ones we have spotted and can fit into our playing style will be handed trials in due cause.
“So I want to commend the organizers of the Gold Cup for packaging the pre-season tourney as it will go a long way to helping clubs discover new talents.”
For Giwa FC, a close source of the technical adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote informed NaijaSportsXtra that the ex-Shooting Stars of Ibadan coach was quite happy with the tough fight given to
them by Supreme Court FC of Abuja.
Recall the Nigeria National League side shocked Giwa FC in their first game of the pre-season championship.
“I think the goal scorer and a midfielder interest Ogunbote. So they could be asked to come to Jos for trials.”
