COACH Kadiri Ikhana has rejected David Tyavkase for Shooting Stars of Ibadan, NaijaSportsXtra can report.
The Benue born star who played under the veteran coach while with Enyimba FC of Aba is said to be eyeing better playing time. Tyavkase has been lobbying a top brass of the Oluyole Warriors to speak with Ikhana on his behalf.
"He and a quite number of players who at one time or the other played under Ikhana have been calling me to persuade the ex-Peoples Elephant coach to have them come for trials.
"But you know who the Edo-born tactician is, he's very tough and never bend his rules.
"When I told him about Tyavkase, he simply said, his playing days are over, just please tell him to call me," our source said.
Recall Tyavkase has twice played for Enyimba, Lobi Stars and then had a brief spell with 2013 Gabonese Premier League champions, US Bitam.
