RANTS ON MIKEL: Chelsea fans apologise after PSG goal

By Rasaq Oboirien
SOME Chelsea supporters were forced to eat their words as they began apologising to Super Eagles ace, John Obi Mikel after several rants on him via social media, twitter for being at fault for Paris Saint-Germain’s opening goal on Tuesday evening.
During the first-half of the Champions League tie, the Nigerian gave away a free-kick close to the box which Zlatan Ibrahimovic slammed home via a deflection from him.
Within seconds, fans started calling for the club to sell the Nigerian who has made 354 appearances for the London outfit since making his debut in 2006.

You give a stupid foul away and then turn your back to the goal and deflect it in? Hope Mikel dies

I'm sorry Mikel. Forgive me.
But minutes to the close of the half, Mikel redeemed himself when he scored his second UEFA Champions League goal from a corner to bring the two sides level going into the break at The Parc des Princes.
The goal could prove crucial for the Guus Hiddink team as they seek to progress to the quarter-finals either by straight win or away goals rule.
