AFCON SHOCKER: Eagles has failed to qualify under Zambian ref

                                     By Rasaq Oboirien
NIGERIA'S Super Eagles has failed to qualify for the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in one of the three times CAF named Janny Sikazwe officiated its matches, reports NaijaSportsXtra.
Aside that, the country's national male soccer team has not recorded a victory in any CAF qualifer, championship or international friendly game under the Zambian, as the Eagles versus Pharaohs at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna will be the fourth time he will be officiating a game involving the

AFCON 2013 champions.
Sikazwe first time as match official for a game involving Nigeria was during the 2014 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in South Africa, as Nigeria's CHAN Eagles lost the semi-final game to Ghana via penalties after the game ended 0-0 in regulation time.
Recall Lobi Stars defender, Solomon Kwambe lost Nigeria's first spot kick.
The second was in October of 2014, when Nigeria lost by a lone goal to Sudan in Khartoum during the Nations Cup qualifiers.
That defeat made Nigeria not to defend the trophy it won in South Africa at the 2015 edition of the continent's bi-annual football fiesta in Equatorial Guinea.
The last time he took charge was in an international friendly game between South Africa and Nigeria in 2015 at the Mbombela Stadium Nelspruit. The game ended a goal a piece.
Meanwhile, Sunshine Stars of Akure are the only Nigerian club side that have won with the 37-year-old Zambian as referee in two games.
Sikazwe was ref when Sunshine Stars held Club Africain of Tunisia to a barren draw in the 2011 CAF Confederation Cup semi-final game at the Olympique d'El Menzah in Tunis.
The Owena Waves fianly broke the 'no win' jinx in their debut in the CAF Champions League a year later.
The Coach Gbenga Ogunbote side who needed three goals to make it to the next round of the continent's elite inter-club football championship after suffering a 4-1 defeat to CD Libolo in the 1st leg, thrashed the Angolans 3 - 0 inside the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode.
Nigeria who are second in Group G with 4points could as well break the 'no win' jinx when they host Egypt in Kaduna on March 25.
