Ogunbote: We won't make silly mistake today

GIWA FC head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote predicts that today’s matchday 4 encounter against Rivers United “will be a good match” but hopes his side will edge it.
“I think it will be a good match. It will be special for two reasons; one of which is the ‘Ogunbote factor’.
“Everyone knows I have coached clubs in Port-Harcourt severally in the past.
“However, we cannot afford to make any silly mistakes at home again,” he said.
The “silly mistake” Ogunbote is referring to was the match day one reverse at home to FC Ifeanyi Ubah.
FC Ifeanyi Ubah won 1-0 at the Rwang Pam Stadium on that occasion (February 21, 2016) and Ogunbote is keen to avoid a repeat.
“We are already in the process of putting things right because we got a draw away from home in our next game against Niger Tornadoes.
“That result has increased the confidence levels amongst our players.
“We know the game against Rivers United will be tough but we hope to get a good result,” he said.
Giwa FC is currently in 16th place in the 20-team NPFL standings with a solitary point from two matches.
