THE duo of Lobi Stars of Makurdi striker, Tony Okpotu and 3SC of Ibadan ace, Wasiu Jimoh now lead the Nigeria Premier League goals scorer's chat after bagging four goals each.
Okpotu bagged a brace in the 3-0 thrashing of 10-man El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri on matchday 4 while Jimoh scored the season's first hat-trick in the 3-0 victory over MFM FC of Lagos on matchday 2, netted the Oluyole Warrior's consolatory goal in the 3-1 loss to IfeanyiUbah FC.
The Lobi strike who's yet to score on the road opened scoring from the penalty spot with just four minutes of play, after he was fouled in the box by El-Kanemi Warriors defender.
The Maiduguri side in the 55th minute were made to pay for their school boy defending after they gave away another penalty and were reduced to 10-men when Yahaya tripped Lobi Stars Nasiru in the box.
Okpotu scored his second of the evening and forth goal of the season scoring from the spot.
The Coach Godwin Koko Uwa side then claimed the maximum 3 points as Nanen Imenger made it 3-0 with a 69th minute strike.
