Amodu Shuaibu dies @ 58


EX-SUPER Eagles coach, current technical director of Nigeria Football Federation and a CAF Instructor Amodu Shuaibu is dead, reports NaijaSportsXtra.
The death of the 58-year-old was made known on Saturday by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
The Okpella born coach died in his sleep after complaining of chest pain on Friday night.
His death came less than three days his former assistant coach Stephen Keshi died in Benin city.
Amodu, who qualified Nigeria to two World Cups, in 2002 and 2010, was to have replaced Sunday Oliseh, as the new Super Eagles coach but declined due to health issues.
At the age of 31 won the FA Cup (now the Federation Cup) as coach of BCC Lions in 1989.
He also masterminded BCC Lions' win of the defunct Africa Cup Winners Cup in 1990 from the sidelines.
In 1994, Amodu guided BCC Lions to win the double - League & FA Cup - in same season.
He remains the most decorated coach in Nigeria FA Cup history, having won it in 1989, 1992, 1993 & 1994.
