Go Round want ref Charles reprimanded

GENERAL Manager of Go Round FC, Soni Uboh wants the Nigeria Football Federation, Referees Committee to look into the officiating in their Federation Cup Round of 32 fixture on Wednesday in Enugu.
The game ended 1-0 in favour of Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL side, Nasarawa United with referee, John Charles at the center, but Uboh says a costly error in the 10th minute ensured his side did not make it through to the next stage of the competition.
“Just like I thought during the game, I saw the clips over and over again at night and it seemed off side to me, just like the Assistant Referee pointed out by raising her flag just before the striker got to the ball to score.“The Assistant Referee had her flag up before the goal was scored and her flag remained up and she refused to move towards the center,” Soni Uboh said.”
“Her flag was raised long before the attacker got to the ball. John Charles first acknowledged it was offside and all of a sudden changed his mind. It was very embarrassing and the Enugu indigenes didn’t even have nice words to say about him,” Uboh said.
“We want the referees’ committee to assess John Charles.”
On the game itself, Soni Uboh reiterated that his side, Go Round FC played good football, though they failed to win.
“The game was a beauty because my side played well, but for the disgraceful refereeing by the man at the center.”
Go Round FC are now in Asaba as they prepare for a Nigeria National League game against Delta Force in Ogwashi Uku on Saturday.
