Kastina Utd ends MFM FC Fed Cup run

SULEIMAN Ibrahim was Kastina United unsong hero after his  54th minute scrambled goal upset the ended MFM FC of Lagos run in the Federation Cup, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The Olukoya Boys and the Nigeria National League both square things up in the soaked tensed match in Lokoja with the first half producing no goal.
At the restart of the game's second stanza, Ibrahim scored minutes after MFM's Isah Akor has wasted a glorious chance for his team when he blasted the ball wide.
This forced the Lagos club to replace the former Federation Cup topscorer with Atu Paul.Efforts by MFM to score an equaliser yielded no result as Kastina United defenders kept their strikers at bay. The team will now face big spending FC Ifeanyi Uba in the Round of 16.
Meanwhile defending champions, Akwa United will tackle Sunshine Stars of Akure in the next round after they piped Kwara United 1-0.
Plateau United has set-up a Round of 16 tie against Nigeria Premier League (NPL) leaders, Wikki Tourists after they defeated Dreams FC 3-0 in Abuja, at the Area 3
Sports Complex.
An own goal in the 7th minute by the non-league side and brace from Kelechi John in the 49th and 52nd minute gave the Jos base team a comfortable victory.
