Yarmaligh commiserate with Keshi, Amodu, football family


THE management of Nigeria National League (NNL) side, FC Yarmalight of Gombe has commiserated with the families of late Stephen Keshi, Amodu Shuaibu and the Nigeria football family over the demise of the former Super Eagles coaches.
Keshi, 54, died of a suspected heart failure on Wednesday while Amodu died in his sleep after complaining of chest pains on Friday night.
The CEO of the club and a Commissioner in Gombe State, Malam Farouk Yarma in a statement said, "We received with utmost shock the double tragedy that befell Nigerian football.
"The demise of two former national team coaches within the space of three days is catastrophic and hard to bear. Stephen Keshi and Amodu Shuaibu epitomised the very essence of Nigerian football, their contributions to the development of the game, and to the development of raw Nigerian talents, can hardly be overemphasised. "As we mourn the passing away of these two Trojans of Nigerian football, we need to take a moment of silence to appreciate their boisterous roles in the growth of the round leather game in Nigeria.
"The entire football family in Nigeria need to move on, we need on build on the legacy they left behind. Football in Nigeria is in trying times, rejuvenating the game should be paramount."
"Our condolences go to the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, the Amaju Melvin Pinnick led board of the Nigeria Football Federation, the families of late Stephen Keshi and Amodu Shuaibu and the entire people of Nigeria. It is our hope that the Lord will give all of us the fortitude to bear these insufferable pair of loses."
