Arsenal send Nwakali to Dutch Maastricht on loan

DUTCH  Eerste Divisie side MVV Maastricht on Wednesday signed ex-Eaglets skipper, 
Kelechi Nwakali on a season long loan deal from Arsenal, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The second-tier league side confirmed the move on their website on transfer deadline day.
"Attacking midfielder Kelechi Nwakali has been added to the selection by MVV Maastricht," the club announced on their official website.
 "After Stefan O'Connor, Nwakali is the second player from Arsenal to join MVV Maastricht on loan up to the end of the current season. 
"The 18-year-old Nwakali is under contract until June 2012 with the English Premier League club. He was acquired by Arsenal at the start of the transfer period of the Diamond Football Academy in Nigeria.
"During the World Championship in Chile for U-17 teams in 2015, Nwakali excelled. His team Nigeria U-17 won the tournament and captain Nwakali was honoured as the best player of the tournament with the 'Golden Ball'. He thus followed in the footsteps of Cesc Fabregas and Toni Kroos.
"MVV Maastricht will complete the deal after for the Nigerian expectedly gets a work permit."
MVV coach Ron Elsen said on Nwakali: "Kelechi is a multifunctional attacking midfielder with scoring ability and a nose for the final pass. 
"He is a promising player and will devep with playing time at the senior level."
