Five star 3SC pummel Pillars 4-0

By Rasaq Oboirien
SHOOTING Stars handed Kano Pillars their biggest defeat of the season as the match day 33 tie at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adaminsingba ended 4-0, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
It was a sad home return for ex-3SC defender, Jamiu Alimi and sweet way to taking a pound of flesh off the Maisu Gida team who in the first leg fired six goals past the Oluyole Warriors.
It took Gbenga Ogunbote's team one hour and two minutes to destroy the former Nigeria Premier League defending champions, as the home team five star performance was something to cheer for the fans.
Pillars defence line could not contain 3SC strike force as it took them nine minutes to score the opening goal via a Ifegwu Ojukwu shot.
Pillars in the 28th minute were close to putting scores at 1-1 but Gambo's shoot was dealt with by goalkeeper Fabiyi.
Ajani Ibrahim then made 2-0 to give the host a first half lead a minute after Gambo failed to score.
The evening then went to striker Sunday Adetunji who bagged his fifth brace of the season and his 9th and 10th goal of the campaign when he made it 3-0 for shooting Stars in the 49th minutes.
Adetunji then put the icing on the cake scoring Shooting Stars forth of the evening tapping into the net from an Ojukwu's assist.
