AWCON 2016: Tanzania expose Kenya Starlets to Falcons

TANZANIA Women soccer team  have exposed the strength and weakness of Kenya to the Super Falcons, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The  Taifa Stars Harambee Starlets 2-1 to clinch the Cecafa Women Championship title at the Njeru Technical Centre, Jinja on Tuesday.
Striker  Omari bagged a brace as Tanzania's Kilimanjaro Queens while Christine Nafula pulled one goal back for Kenya two minutes after the break but the Tanzanians held out to win the title.
Recall on Sunday that the AWCON defending champions, Nigerian were drawn in Group B alongside rivals, Ghana, Kenya and Mali in the draws held on Sunday at the Palais Polyvalent des Sports, Yaounde, Cameroon.
Having won the AWCON for a record nine times in eleven appearance (in 1991, 1995, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2010 and 2014), Coach Florence Omagbemi is set to lead the Falcons to winning for the 10th time and to become the first woman to win it as player and coach.
 Her team will open it's campaign against Mali at the Stade Municipal de Limbe, while the 
championship is expected to kick-off from 19th November 2016 through December 3.
