FOUR-time Nigerian Premier League champions, Kano Pillars have congratulated Rivers United FC for their qualification for next season’s Caf Champions League.
Spokesman of Kano Pillars, Idris Malikawa who sent the message on behalf of Sai Masu Gida said Rivers United surprised many with their doggedness and consistency which culminated in the securing of one of two Caf Champions League tickets to represent Nigeria on the continent in 2017.He added that the club must begin early preparations if they are to attain desired heights next season.“On behalf of Kano Pillars, I want to say a big congratulations to Rivers United FC for their impressive run in the just-concluded Nigeria Professional Football League.“Their ability to secure a Caf Champions League ticket against the odds shows that they are a club with serious-minded footballers and officials.
