Rangers crowned new Nigeria League kings after 32 years

RANGERS International of Enugu were crowned Nigeria Premier League champions after they beat 10-man El-Kanemi Warriors 4-0 to break their 32 years no league title, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The Flying Antelopes began the evening in style as they took the game to the Ladan Bosso side as Chisom Egbuchulam bagged a hat-trick.
Egbuchulam set the Nnamdi Azikewe Stadium alive scoring from the spot kick three minutes into the game after El-Kanemi's ‪Audu handled Bobby Clement's shot in the box.‬
Osas Okoro then doubled the lead in the 42nd minute to give the Flying Antelopes a half time lead regardless Rivers United leading Akwa United in Uyo.
‪Fourteen minutes into the second half, Egbuchulam increased the goal tally for Rangers finishing off from a sweeping move.‬
El-Kanemi ended the game without their goalkeeper, Yekeen Lekan who was shown a straight red card after he was adjudged by ref Udoh to have fouled injured Ifeanyi Egwim in the box.
Egbuchulam, who bagged his third goal of the evening converting the spot kick, could not topple Godwin Obaje for the NPL top scorer gong.
