SEVEN times Nigeria Premier League (NPL) Enyimba International of Aba will arrive Ijebu-Ode today to begin light preparations for the Gold Cup Pre-Season Tournament, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The Aba Elephants who went trophy less last season will be making its debut in the country's most prestigious pre-season tourney which kicks-off on November 25.
According to the club post via their official twitter handle @EnyimbaFC, "Enyimba will honour the Gold Cup tournament slated for next weekend. The team will arrive Ijebu Ode Sunday ahead of the competition."
The club who recently named ex-Shooting Stars of Ibadan coach, Gbenga Ogunbote will leading what will be his new look Elephants against Lobi Stars, Wikki Tourists, Crown FC and newly promoted Remo Stars in Group B.
Defending champions, Kano Pillars, FC Ebedei, MFM FC, Niger Tornadoes and Sunshine Stars make up Group B.
The 10-day soccer fiesta which is expected to climax on December 4, will see the winner going home with a befitting giant trophy, cash prize and medals for the winners courtesy of Senator Dr. Abdulfatai Buhari.
A trophy has also been donated by NFF Executive Board Member, Ahmed Yusuf Fresh for the second places team while the tourney's Top Scorer and MVP will be handed plaques courtsey Publisher of Naija League Magazine, Aikoje Ojeikere.
However, the two finalist will be entitle to brand new jerseys courtesy of OWU Sportswear Venture.
