Yarma hails Gov. Dankwambo on Gombe Utd Advisory Committee


MALAM Farouk Yarma has hailed His Excellency Dr Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, OON (Talban Gombe) for constituting an Advisory Committee for the state owned Nigeria Premier League team, Gombe United.
In a chat with NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com after he was named Secretary to the Committee, the pioneer Gombe State Sports Commission (GSSC) boss said: "I would like to most sincerely and respectfully thank His Excellency for alluding to the recommendation of the Stakeholders Committee on Gombe United Football Club by constituting an Advisory Committee for the club. 
"The calibre of highly competent personalities that constituted the committee says a lot about His Excellency's intention for the club. 
"Ambassador Haruna Garba (Magayakin Gombe), the chairman of the Advisory Committee, we have someone who helped to establish Gombe United, I believe there won't be a better choice for this role than him."
"For Alhaji Inuwa Lamido (Iyan Gombe) is household name in the football family, as we will also tap from their reservoir of knowledge, is my pleasure to be part and parcel of this great personalities.
"I would like to submit that we are aware Gombe United Football Club have an edict, a law, that established the club. This law gives the supreme power of managing the club to the Management Board. "
Further speaking, "So as an Advisory Committee, our role will be solely to advise the Management Board, we will not in anyway interfere with their deliberations, but whenever and wherever we notice a loophole we will be advising them on how to put things right. The overall benefit of constituting our committee will be realised when the club succeed.
"In the same token we are not going to interfere with activities of the technical crew. For the team to succeed the coaches and assistants must be given a free hand to select the best players that will win laurels to the club. By bringing in Coach Manu Garba (OON) as the new Technical Adviser, the Management Board of the Savannah Scorpions need to be commended. 
"The club need a tested hand like him at the helm of affairs in order to compete in the highly competitive Nigeria Premier League. With an established technical crew, an assurance of continuous support from the government and the right choice of players, we are good to go."
