OLADIMEJI Lawal insists Shooting Stars of Ibadan will miss the services of Enyimba bound Tayo Adebogun when the new season kicks off in January, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
"It was expected that some of our quality players including Tayo would leave after Gbenga Ogunbote left. Recall he joined us from Giwa FC where he played for him.
"He'll definitely by missed by the Oluyole Warriors.
"Looking at the role he played in our team last season, I think he's the best I have seen in the Nigeria Premier League.
"He's superb with the ball, attacks with the ball and off course gives some passes that if you are not intelligent enough as a defender, he can make a mess of you.
"Adebogun didn't just start to do magic with the ball, one or two persons might have spotted and recommend him to big coaches.
"On our part, coach Fatai Amoo and his assistants have reacted swiftly with singing some brilliant players. For now, they may not be as experienced or play like Adebogun but with time they will prove themselves to our fans."
Shooting Stars of Ibadan will begin their 2016/17 NPL title quest with a home game against Lobi Stars of Makurdi at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba.
