ADO Ali has urged Kastina United fans to keep faith on the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super4 champions, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The former Kano Pillars and Sunshine Stars defender scored the last penalty that handed his team the trophy at the expense of ABS FC of Ilorin.
"Am used to taking penalties. I choose the spot I wanted to put the ball; and was calm stepping forward to play it. I'm happy scoring the last penalty that gave us the NNL Super 4 trophy.
"The victory will definitely spur the team on as we go into the new season.
The game against Gombe United will be tough but I have full confidence on my teammates and coaches, that come January 15, Kastina Utd will take the maximum 3points."
"I also want to urge our fans not to relent in their support for the team like they did when we were in the Nigeria National League (NNL),
"They should always keep faith in the team when the result is coming in our favour or not as this is the premier league which of course is different from the NNL.
At this level, it's always tough as you play against the best and also play more matches too.
"I want to promise our fans that the team don't intend to get relegated at the end of the season, but will strive to compete for titles as from next (2017/18) season."
