THE Management Board of newly promoted Nigeria Premier League side, Gombe United Football Club rose from a meeting today (Thursday) finalising arrangements for the team to embark on a closed camping in Kaduna, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
According to the Savannah Scorpions Acting General Manager Media and Publicity, Tanimu Umar, "The camping is expected to give the players and technical crew the chance to get the team prepared physically and mentally for the upcoming 2016/17 season.
"The team is slated to leave Gombe for Kaduna next week and will train for 10 days, before proceeding to Katsina for the Week 1 engagement against Katsina United."
Recall the Manu Garba team didn't spark at the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 4 the state hosted losing to both ABS FC of Ilorin and Remo Stars of Shagamu via penalties.
Kastina United were crowned champions of the four team tourney after they defeated coach Makinwa's ABS FC 4-2 on spot kicks after full time scores stood at 1-1 in a pack full Pantami Stadium.
