The Jos team proved to the Sky Blue Stars that the NPFL was no child's play after John Kim scored the opening goal of the game in the 26th via a square play to silence the home fans at the Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu.

Just few minutes into the second half, Plateau's Golbe Elisa converted a free kick to make the game 2-1 in their favour.
Goalkeeper Chisom Ndukwe saved a shot from Elisa in the closing minutes of the game and Mbaoma's shot to equalise was stopped by Plateau's goalkeeper.
