NEW kid on the block, Sunday Faleye has vowed to score more goals for Shooting Stars of Ibadan, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The Ajegunle born striker showed class as the Oluyole Warriors ended Rivers United five match unbeaten run after a 2-1 victory on Matchday 6 at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba.
Faleye who scored his second of the season and 3SC first, and provided the assist that saw Jide Apena scoring the winning goal said: "I'm delighted scoring against Rivers United and making the assist that led to the match winner.
"Though the goal didn't come easy as the game was a tough one.
"I want to also give credit to my coach, Fatai Amoo for giving me a starting role in the game. I know he has his reasons playing me as a second half substitute, so when he told me I was going to start against Rivers Utd, that boosted my morale."
The youngster who went home with the man of the match award, "I want to dedicate the goal to my mum and dad despite playing three games with out scoring.
"I was to assure 3SC fans that this won't be my last goal this season, I hope to help my team by scoring more."
Coach Fatai Amoo and his lads will be resting on Matchday 7 and 8 after the League Management Company (LMC) rescheduled their games against Wikki Tourists and Rangers owing to the clubs CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup engagements.
The Oluyole Warriors will now be guest to Katsina United on Matchday 9.
