By Rasaq Oboirien
LOBI Stars of Makurdi got their second point on the road after they shared spoils with Remo Stars of Sagamu at the Gateway International Stadium, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
It was coach Fatai Osho debut game in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The former Crown FC coach who was named new technical adviser to Remo Stars barely a week ago, appeared to be the man with the magic wand, Harry Potter as his Sky Blues Stars who lost their last home game to Niger Tornadoes, took the game to the visitors.
In the 14th minute, Lobi Stars goalkeeper Odah Okiemute was forced to make a world class save from Martaba Umar's half volley at the edge of the box to deny Remo Stars the first goal of the game.
Victor Mboama, then scored from the resulting corner to give Remo Stars the lead after Lobi Stars defender failed to clear the ball inside their box.
He thus increased his season goal tally to three goals.
Tony Opotu should have leveled scores for Lobi Stars but his shot from point blank was saved by goalkeeper Chizoba.
At the restart of the second half, Paul Isaac should have increased the Sky Blues Stars lead but he nodded wide from a corner.
A minute after Isaac miss, Opotu leveled scores for the coach Evan Ogenyi side after tapping into the net after goalkeeper Chizoba spilled the ball to his path.
In the 60th minute, Mboama fluffed the chance to make it 2-1 for Remo Stars but his effort from a cross was saved by Okiemute.
