A 15th strike from Mohammed Mohammed saw Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC of Ilorin beat Wikki Tourists of Bauchi in a Matchday 10 fixtures played at the Ilorin Township Stadium, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
It was a game between ABS FC and goalkeeper, Emeka Nwabulu as the Wikki Tourist no former junior international denied the duo of Mohammed and Adeshina Gata a hat-trick following his brilliant saves.
The Henry Makinwa boys started the game brightly as Gata had the first shot at goal, but was weak to beat goalkeeper Nwabulu.
As the game got to his quarter of an hour mark, ABS FC top scorer, Mohammed Mohammed turned away from his marker to score the first goal of the game.
It was the lanky striker's 4th of the season since the Ilorin based team got promoted to the topflight division.
As the game neared the closing minutes of half time, ABS FC goalkeeper, Abdullahi Boje was at his best to deny Wikki Tourists an equalizing goal after he made a brilliant save as he put a point blank shot over the woodwork.
At the restart of the second half, coach Baba Ganaru made two substitution of Omo Johnson and Sadiq which would have been productive for his team, but ABS FC had Boje and Governor to thank as they denied Omo Johnson the chance to score.
In the 76th minute, Boje denies Johnson his first goal away from Bauchi with a superb save.
As the clock thicker away, Nwabulu was at his best to deny Mohammed his second goal of the evening.
Mohammed flying nodding from a Samuel Oyedeji set-piece was parried away by the former U-23 shot stopper.
Nwabulu was called to action again as he made triple saves in quick succession, one of Gata, Oyedeji and the other from Mohammed.
Gata, will be left to rue his misses if ABS FC had drawn the game as he was a bit wasteful at goal today.
