Stoke City transformed Victor Moses-Hughes

 

MARK Hughes says he is the reason why Super Eagles ace, Victor Moses is starring for Chelsea this season.

The Nigerian has been a surprise key performer in a wing-back role in Antonio Conte's 3-4-3 formation and Hughes suggest it is down to the defensive duties he learned while on loan with the Potters in 2014/15. 

"I'm not surprised at all [by Moses form]," Hughes said. 

"I'm going to take all the credit for all his defensive work because when he came here, he wasn't great at that.

"We taught him how to defend and now he's reaping the benefits at Chelsea!"

The Nigerian has hit the form of his life scoring three goals under the Italian.

Moses, Chelsea pay kids Christmas visit

SUPER Eagles ace, Victor Moses and his Chelsea teammates today (Wednesday) paid a surprise pre-Christmas visit to kids at the Westminster Hospital London, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.

Pictures shared by the English Premier League (EPL) leaders the Nigerian and the likes of John Terry, Eden Hazard, David Luiz and other regular players having a fun day with the kids at the hospital.

Moses and other Chelsea players also handed gifts, signed autographs and took pictures with the kids too.

The Nigerian who is the form of his life under Antonio Conte as new Blues boss, should star agin for the Blues at the Stanford Bridge when they host Bournemouth on Boxing Day.  

Meanwhile, the pictures posted didn't show if Chelsea reject, John Obi Mikel was part of the squad that visited the hospital.

Moses, Chelsea stars hit gym for West Brom

VICTOR Moses and his other Chelsea stars this week hit the gym as they prepare for Sunday's English Premier League (EPL) game against West Brom, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.

The Nigerian who is in the form of his life has scored three goals this season having put back on track his Chelsea career under Antonio Conte as new boss.

Picture of Moses lifting weight was among the images Chelsea shared on social media showing some of the club's stars being put through their paces at Cobham Training Centre as they look to keep up their good form.

The pictures show the Premier League leaders going through their off-field preparations for their home game against West Brom at the club's Surrey training facility.

Without the distraction of European football, the Conte's side who are currently sitting at the top of the Premier League table, three points off London rivals Arsenal could go nine games unbeaten if they beat the Baggies at the Stamford Bridge. 

PFA award for Chelsea mates, fans-Moses

VICTOR Moses has expressed his gratitude to his Chelsea teammates and indeed fans of the club after he bagged the PFA Fans Player of the Month award, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.

The Nigerian who is in his best form of his life has so far scored three EPL goals for Chelsea beat off competition from Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero, Swansea’s Gylfi Sigurdsson, Sunderland’s Victor Anichebe, West Brom winger Matt Phillips and Watford’s Nordin Amrabat for the award.

"Delighted to receive the @PFA Fans Player of the Month award.It mean a lot and I would like to thank my teammates,fans and everyone at @ChelseaFC," his tweet read on @VictorMoses on Thursday night.

The players were shortlisted by Sky Sports pundits Paul Merson, Peter Beagrie, general manager of the Professional Game Match Officials Mike Riley and Malcolm Clarke, chairman of the Football Supporters’ Federation.

Moses, Davido celebrate Chelsea's victory against Spurs

VICTOR Moses and his Chelsea mates were joined by Nigeria's hip-hop star, Davido to celebrate the Blues Super Saturday win over London rival Tottenham Hotspurs at the Stanford Bridge,  reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.

Moses who has been in the form of his life since the arrival of Antonio Conte scored his third EPL goal of the season for the Blues.

Chelsea came from behind to beat Spurs 2-1 who had taken the lead in the 19th minute via a Christian Eriksen's superb opener.

Ex-Barcelona stars, Pedro then cancelled out the lead with a sublime while the Nigerian struck what proved to be the winner for Chelsea, who returned to the top of the table ahead of next week's clash with Pep Guardiola's City.

A delighted Moses shared a picture of Davido (Omobabaolowo O.B.O) celebrating the victory with him in the Chelsea dressing room on social media, Twitter.
