AFTERMATH OF DERBY 1-1 DRAW:
DOLPHINS
Head Coach, Stanley Eguma believes the solution to his problems right now would
be to acquire more strikers.
Speaking
after drawing 1-1 against Sharks at their Liberation Stadium ground, Eguma said
he will have to delve into the transfer market for players who can score goals.
“We have to
work harder, especially on the psyche of the players but you can see that we
lost lots of chances to score in that game.
“We have
actually not gotten over the loss of Emem Eduok and we are looking out to sign
one or two players as soon as the window opens because of our blunt attack,”
Eguma said.
Sharks FC
coach, Ere Dokubo was bullish in his response to the scores saying 1-1 does not
reflect the quality of the sides that played.
According to
Dokubo, he had his chance to not just beat Dolphins, but bury them on their own
turf.
“I don’t
agree that the score line means we are equally matched. The result does not
give the true picture of how the game went.
“We had a
chance to not just beat them but bury them so I am not celebrating this because
my strikers missed lots of chances,” Dokubo said.
Yusuf
Jaiyeola had put Sharks ahead in the 51st minute while Ghanaian Godless Asamoah
drew level in the 87th minute of the encounter that Sharks dominated for most
parts.
Dolphins
will be on the road to Ifeanyi Ubah FC on Wednesday on Match Day 12.
