Stoke City chase red-hot Ujah

STOKE City are showing a keen interest in Werder Breman forward Anthony Ujah according to SportBild.
The Nigeria international only joined the Bundesliga side in the summer, but his impressive form this season has resulted in the player catching the eye of the Premier League side.
SportBild have claimed Ujah is a strong possibility for Stoke City in next summer’s transfer window. Despite the club’s recent good run of form it seems Mark Hughes is already looking to next season to strengthen his options up front, and Ujah is an option. Stoke City have only managed to score ten goals in their opening twelve league games, and may need a forward in the summer who can bring the team goals.
In total Ujah has scored 75 times in 175 appearances, and it was his record in Norway early in his career which brought him to the attention of other clubs across Europe. The Nigerian netted 30 times in 42 games for Lillestrom which earned him a move to Germany with Mainz. Ujah joined fellow Bundesliga side Koln in 2012 before heading to Werder Bremen in the summer. The 25 year old has already scored 7 times in his first 13 games for his new club. Ujah has been capped 4 times by Nigeria.
