City turn down West Ham loan move for Iheanacho

WEST Ham United have been rebuffed in their attempts to land Super Eagles starlet Kelechi Iheanacho on loan, according to the Brentwood Gazette.
The Hammers are simply the latest club to have expressed an interest in borrowing the Manchester City forward, after a flurry of activity saw Bournemouth and Sunderland also reportedly make moves.
However, City boss Manuel Pellegrini is thought to have turned down any approach for the 19-year old as he looks for cover up front.
First choice strikers Wilfried Bony and Sergio Aguero have both struggled with injuries and Samir Nasri is still sidelined with a knee problem. The Chilean coach is apparently unwilling to sanction his departure while his forward options remain limited.
Iheanacho has impressed during his brief cameos this term, notching six goals in all competitions, including a strike against Norwich in the FA Cup on Saturday evening.
