By Our Reporter
ANN Chiejine, says the friendly game between the Super Falcons and Flamingos was meant to assess the national senior female team, reports NaijaSportsXtra.
Nigeria host Senegal or Guinea in next month African Women Championship (AWC) qualifiers.
According to 'Mama-Goal' after the tune-up game: "For us, we are trying to build the team. The way they played together as a team, the transition in the passes, the depth inside, those were the things we were interested in.
"This is why we need a series of friendly matches to really help the girls. Yes, we played a 1-1 draw. It's not a big deal. It's not something to be panicking about. We played with a team that has been in camp and playing competitive games within the past four months, unlike ourselves that just came to camp about two weeks ago."
The friendly match between the Super Falcons and Flamingos ended in a 1-1 draw at the FIFA Goal Project. The game saw Abibat Agbaji putting the senior team ahead in the 28th minute while Peace Efih equalized for the U-17 girls team in the 32nd minute.
