Eagles chances bright against Egypt-Amunike

By Our Reporter
The ex-Golden Eaglets coach, Emmanuel Amunike has insisted that Nigeria's chances against seven times champions are bright., reports NaijaSportsXtra.
This he made known to Egyptian news source KingFut ahead the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations double-header in Kaduna and Alexandria:
“I think our chances are bright. Egypt have a good team, good players, we respect them but they should also respect us.
“We are not bothered about it, we also have a very good team and good players.
On the number of foreign based call up to camp in Kaduna as against Egypt's five, Amunike said: "We do what we have to do.
“You might see it as too much players being called up but we do not. Egypt called up 25 players and it’s up to them to do what they want but we do what we have to do, what we see suitable,” the 45-year-old continued.
Many view these two matches as a crucial point to decide if Siasia, Amunike and the rest of the coaching staff will retain their place on the bench until the Africa Cup of Nations. Amunike said that no matter what happens he was privileged to be given such responsibility.
“It is not for me to say what will happen later, I don’t know. I’m with the Super Eagles now and with the youth, everyone is supporting me, the federation and the Nigerian fans, so it is a privilege,” Amunike told KingFut.
“I am always giving my best no matter what position I am given, always giving 100%. It’s a privilege to be given this position by my country,” concluded the U17 World Cup Champion.
