Ujah targets Leverkusen scalp

SUPER Eagles and Werder Bremen striker, Anthony Ujah has said that the White and Green can get a point against Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Wednesday night.
The Nigerian was full of determination ahead of the Bundesliga meeting.
He told the club that: "It's good that we don't have to do a lot of waiting. The next game is around the corner, the team wants to go again and get the reward for our efforts."
Recall Bremen’s 2-2 draw with Darmstadt last weekend did not help their fight against relegation, as Ujah who bagged his 9th goal of the season reckons that the team must not drop points in future matches in their battle to stay afloat.
“Relegation battles are always tough. The character of the team and of each individual plays a big role in these situations,”Ujah told werder.de.
“It’s important that we stick together as a team and not lose our spirit.
“We won’t travel to Leverkusen to somehow sneak away with a draw. We have to collect points in every game from now on.”
Eleven matches before the end of this season, Werder are three points from safety having garnered 21 points and have a tricky fixture against Bayer Leverkusen in two days time.
