Heartland getting better, says Dike

By Rasaq Oboirien
ALPHONSUS Dike has said that his Naze Millionaire side is getting better after they played out a 1-1 draw with Oriental Derby arch rivals Enyimba at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Wednesday, reports NaijaSportsXtra.
The ex-Golden Eaglets boss said: "Honestly, I wanted to get the 3points, a point is not bad, at least our performances are getting better and it would continue."
Homeboy Peter Onyekachi gave Enyimba the lead on 27 minutes when he profited from a mistake by Heartland goalkeeper Philip Acho but the lead lasted for only four minutes as Ifeanyi Onuigbo headed home Emeka Ogbugh's freekick unmarked at the far post.
The Peoples Elephants should have won the game in the second half, as their best two chances fell to former CHAN Eagles ace Christian Pyagbara but he fired over the bar on each occasion.
It was Pyagbara's strike partner Peter Onyekachi that created both openings for the former Sharks man, first flicking a long thrust onto his path before finding him with an incisive cross with six minutes left on the clock.
The visitors remained resolutely composed and frustrated their hosts as they hung on to claim a share of the spoils, much to the admiration of the traveling party from Owerri.
