Iwobi hopes thigh injury not serious

By Rasaq Oboirien
ALEXANDER Iwobi has expressed hopes that the thigh strain he suffered in Arsenal's 3-4 home defeat to Liverpool is not too serious, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The Nigerian picked up the injury in the 59th minute of the English Premier League Super Sunday's seven-goal thriller at the Emirates.
Iwobi said hours after the game on his twitter handle @alexiwobi:"Disappointing Result , Gotta Pick Our Heads Up & Go Again ... Hopefully My Thigh Strain Isn't Too Serious GodWilling 🙏🏾⚽️ #AFC #COYG."
He could however miss the Gunners away game to Leicester City, as the club is yet to make known how serious the injury is.
Theo Walcott who should have put the Gunners in front missed from the penalty spot, but had to make for his poor kick, as he scored Arsenal's opening goal with Iwobi providing the assist.
The one goal lead didn't last for long as Coutinho leveled scores via a superb free-kick to put half time scores at 1-1.
Lallana put the Reds ahead scoring few minutes to the restart of the second half.
Coutinho, then made it 1-3 as his flick from a cross beat Cech in goal, while Mane scored his debut goal and Liverpool's forth of the evening.
It was little too late for Arsene Wenger side with both Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and  Calum Chambers reducing the goal deficit to one.
