SOLOMON Ogbeide has refused to blame the match officials for Sunshine Stars controversial loss to 3SC in the South-West derby at the Lekan Salami Stadium.
Two penalty goals from Sunday Adetunji saw the Oluyole Warriors come from behind to beat the visitors 2-1 after they taken the lead in the 22nd minute via a Meshack Chukuwbuikem strike.
The second spot kick for the home team was termed unfair by Sunshine Stars players who felt goalkeeper, Olorunleke Ojo got the ball off a goal bound Ebitimi Agogo in the closing minute of extra time.
In his post match chat with NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com after the match: "I can't say, rather I don't know what you football writers mean by bitter defeat, in football, three things happen after a match, that is you record a victory, draw a game or suffer a defeat.
And one thing happened today (Sunday).
"I also want to stress that there are still areas we need to pay attention too if we want out league to develop.
"Officiating and security is key to the success of any league. The moment the League Management Company (LMC) see this as key, then our domestic football will go places."
Ogbeide's Owena Waves will this Wednesday tackle Enyimba in a rescheduled game in Port-Harcourt.
