RANGERS have closed in on Wikki Tourist, after they defeated MFM FC of Lagos by a lone goal in a rescheduled match day 33 tie at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Thursday, reports NaijaSportsXtra.Blogspot.com.
It looks like a two-horse race for the title as the Coal City team go neck-to-neck with Wikki on 54points but the Bauchi team still lead the Nigeria Premier League log on superior goals difference.
Recall Wikki failed to maintain its 2points lead but dropped points against Lobi Stars on Wednesday.
Rangers would be thankful to Tope Olusesi, who turn match winner for them after putting the ball into his own net via a cross by Chisom Egbuchulam in the 75th minute.
The defeat has sank MFM FC further to the 18th spot with 38points.
