HENRI Kasperczak says Algeria can get their Russia 2018 World Cup campaign back on track only if the hire a new coach before their next game against Nigeria in Uyo.
NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com sourced from an interview he had with an Algiers sports newspaper/ news wire,  Lebuteur.
The Super Eagles top Group B with 3points after the victory over Zambia in Ndola, while the Desert Foxes and Indomitable Lions are placed 2nd and 3rd after they shared the spoils in Algiers on match day 1.
The Polish and Tunisian Head Coach said when asked, Algeria was forced to 1-1 draw by Cameroon, the coach is gone and we wondered whether this could empower players to come back with a good result in Nigeria?
The World Cup qualifying matches are very difficult, especially away when experiencing difficulties. You know that the preparation time of the match in Nigeria is very short, so I think this is the game of the players and they had better assume their responsibilities.

What do you think of Rajevac?
Rajevac had time to show what he can do, his period as head of the national team was short. You know that in Africa, the success of a coach depends on the results. So now, he didn't get enough time to get results. And I think the result against Cameroon was responsible for his departure.

Given your experience in Africa, do think Algerian players  lacked concentration and efficiency?
Well, that's the questions the players must precisely find answers to ahead of the match against Nigeria.

FAF is in contact with Wilmots, Courbis and other coaches for the Desert Foxes ahead of the game against Nigeria. Do you believe it is necessary to make this trip with a foreign coach on the bench?

It is clear that the presence of the head coach gives more serenity and confidence to a team in a match like that. After I do not know if the hiring of either of the coaches have materialized. Courbis or Wilmots, it's the same, these are two coaches who have lots of experience. For the match against Nigeria, they can bring their moral support and tactics will be of value to the team. One thing is certain, these two are quite efficient to conduct the Algeria as far as possible during the CAN-2017.

Asked to give his verdict about Senegal and Zimbabwe who are in their group alongside Algeria?
I say it again, there are no small teams in Africa. Nobody believed that Nigeria will be eliminated from CAN 2017. So now, Senegal is capable of beating any team, it's the same for Zimbabwe, we must be wary of them.
