TECHNICAL Adviser to Gombe United, Manu Garba (OON) has assured fans that he would do his best to pick one of the continental slot for the club, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
The ex-Golden Eaglets boss who put pen to his contract papers was unveiled by his new employers on Monday at the conference hall of the Emerald Hotel in  Gombe State.
A delighted Manu said, "We'll try as much as possible to secure one of the continental ticket in my fist season with the Savannah Scorpions."
Malam Farouk Yarma, a Director in the newly constituted Nigeria National League (NNL) charged the Savannah Scorpions management not to put pressure on the FIFA world cadet wining coach and his assistants by setting targets for them rather give them the necessary support.
"We should not be talking of winning league at the moment, let us consolidate our position in the Premier league."
The Gombe State Commissioner for Youth Empowerment also lauded the idea of the club in opting for Manu.
"Coach Manu Garba is good addition to the NPFL, as his venturing into the league would see other coaches that have had stint with any of the national teams, take up NPFL jobs with a view to bringing in their wealth of experience towards developing the game."
Recall the club was one of the NNL team that got promoted at the end of last season.
