GO ROUND Football Club over the last week concluded the first phase of their player development scheme with a long serving member of the team.
Okey Eluozo, a player with Go Round FC on his retirement was sponsored to the National Institute of Sports, NIS in Lagos by the club and just concluded a Basic Coaching course.
He has thus been immediately appointed as an assistant coach with the side.
“I am immensely grateful to the team for this gesture towards me,” Okey said.
“I am also happy that after my playing days with the side, I can also contribute to their development as a coach,” the ex-player said.
Club president, Felix Obuah over the weekend told GoRound FC Media that what the club had done with Okey will be a continuous thing.
“That is why we are here as a club. We do not just want to win matches and trophies but we want to develop human capacity,” Obuah said.
“Today, it is Okey Eluozo that now has his coaching badges and we believe that tomorrow other players who excelled and gave their all for us will get the same benefit.
“It is my belief that the addition of Okey to the technical crew will boost our chance if success next season,” m
Go Round FC will participate in the Nigeria National League, NNL and also play in the Federation Cup in the 2016/17 football league season.
