Cooreman chases away Atuliwa, 22 others after Ikorodu Utd trials

MAURICE Cooreman showed his former Warri Wolves player, Gift Atuliwa and 22 other players for failing to impress at a pre-season trial with Ikorodu United, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
Our source revealed that Atuliwa who arrived the club's camp in Ikorodu claimed he last played for a Vietnam club.
"He came to see Cooreman last week Friday and he told I'm he wanted to play for Ikorodu United.
"The Belgian looked at him, and laughed, you want to play for my team. But you are not fit. You have so gained weight. Okay if you want to play for Ikorodu United come on Monday and prove yourself.
"An over weight Atuliwa who has lost his form, Cooreman said, my friend, please leave my camp 20 minutes after he watched him train with other players who had come for same purpose.
"The furious Belgian then said, to the other players, here is not a dumping ground. We mean business here."
Atuliwa and 22 other players were then sent packing.
Meanwhile, Ikorodu United who are bidding to return to the Nigeria Premier League after it got relegated last season has retained 14 players from its old squad.
