PETIT midfielder, Chukwuka Onuwa has told Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries fans that his best is yet to come as the season is still young, reports NaijaSportsXtra.blogspot.com.
Onuwa who turned down a move to join Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) big wigs before the kick-off of the 2016/17 season said: "Firstly, my fans were one of the reasons why I didn't quit the Olukoya Boys as I had offers from Kano Pillars, Lobi Stars, Enyimba and Akw United.
"I had to stay back to repay the faith they have in me."
Secondly, MFM FC has been very good to me, the club gave me the chance to prove myself against the odds.
"I also feel it's best to play under a coach who believes in me rather than one who wants to achieve immediate success and at the end would dump you when he doesn't need you anymore.
"I know if I do successfully this season, who knows a move to Europe may come calling. I also want to assure our fans that they have not seen nothing yet is my best is gradually coming."
Onuwa who dazzled Kano Pillars in Sunday's Matchday 5 game at the 'Soccer Temple' Stadium in Agege race in time to be fully fit for this weekend's South-West derby against Sunshine Stars in Akure after picking a slight knock in the 1-0 victory over Ikhana's Masu Gida.
