Uwa apologies to fans, MFM result unacceptable

FURIOUS Lobi Stars head coach, Godwin Koko Uwa says the heavy loss to MFM FC in the week three of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) is "unacceptable".
Uwa was unhappy with Sunday's 4-0 defeat against the Olukoya Boys at the Agege Stadium.
"Unfortunately we've got our defects and the time has come for us to look each other in the eye," the former Nigeria U23 gaffer spoke to the club media shortly after the match.
"If you don't run and you don't fight, then it's hard to win. For me the result wasn't what we expected."
"We tried everything. I assume responsibility for the loss. That's unacceptable and I apologise to the fans."
Lobi Stars host giant killers ABS FC in what promises to be a tantalizing affair at the Aper Aku Stadium on Wednesday.
"Talking about Wednesday's game against ABS, we need to bounce back with a win. We can't afford to drop points at home.
Meanwhile, Anthony Agbaji, the club's captain also spoke in the same vein, urging his team mates to remain focused and put themselves together as there's still room for improvement.
"I'm not really happy that we lost the match to MFM FC because we matched them in the first half but that's football," he said during a chat.
"We lost focus in the second half and got punished. Honestly there's  nothing we could do about this. We need to put this particular match aside and focus on the future," he added.
