SHOOTING Stars will Sunday host Osun United in a friendly game at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba.
This is in lieu of the postponed matches involving the Oluyole War Lords in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) and of course to keep the boys in shape ahead their upcoming NPFL fixtures.
The friendly match interestingly will also afford the new gaffer of the State of Osun boys; Duke Udi to test his newly assembled team against a top opposition.
The new home and away strips will be officially launched during the friendly game prior to it going on sale for our teeming fans across the globe. The gate will be flung open in appreciation of the home support the team has enjoyed so far this season.
Shooting Stars resumed training immediately after their 2-1 mercurial victory over Rivers United the penultimate weekend.
The gaffer was happy with the much needed win and also encouraged the boys not to relent on their much improved performance versus the Port- Harcourt boys.
The team has however returned to camp to prepare for subsequent matches in the league and also to continue the team building.
Shooting Stars was not involved in in the match-day 7 fixture as its opponent, Wikki Tourist are preparing for their CAF Confederations Cup against their opponent RSLAF of Sierra Leone over the weekend while our fixture on the match-day 8 against Rangers FC of Enugu has also been shifted as the team will be far away in Algeria featuring in the CAF Champions League round of matches against Saora FC.
The team will be the guest of Katsina United at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium on the 19th of February in the Week 9 of the NPFL fixture.
