Birthday boy, Samuel Oyedeji scoring the goal of the game from the penalty spot after the match officials had adjudged that an Olukoya Boys defender had tripped a goal bound Chukwuebuka Anaekwe in the box in the 80th minute.
Oyedeji made no mistake from the spot sending MFM FC goalkeeper, Ospino Egbe the wrong way roofing his effort at the top right corner of the net.
It was an exciting first half as both teams played with caution but failed to convert the few half chances that came their way.
Goalkeeper Boje Abdullahi and Ospino Egbe were at their best after they made a couple of saves at both ends.
Home grown boy, Waheed didn't show signs of home sickness as he showed the Ilorin fans why he opted to wear the purple colour of MFM FC dazzling with the ball in and outside the half of the Henry Makinwa's team.
But the duo of Ernest Governor and Chinedu Ajanah were able to cut off the attack of their opponents.
