ELEPHANTS JOB:
Ivory Coast FA drops Keshi
THE heat
between the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Coach Stephen Keshi would
certainly cool down for now, as the Côte d’Ivoire Football Federation has
dropped the 'Big Boss' from its five-man short list to replace Hervé Renard for
the vacant Elephants job.
Recall Keshi
was summoned by the NFF disciplinary committee how his name appeared in the
59 applicants for the Elephants job.
Naijasportsxtra.blogspot.com
gathered from the federation website www.fedivoir.com/fifci, that following the
examination of 59 applications, the FIF-appointed committee has selected
Portuguese coach Paulo Duarte, Polish manager Henryk Kasperczak and the French
trio of Patrice Neveu, Frédéric Antonetti and Michel Dussuyer.
This
five-man shortlist will further be reduced to three ahead of the final
appointment.
It would be
recalled that Frenchman, Hervé Renard led Côte d’Ivoire to their first AFCON
title in 23 years in Equatorial Guinea.
