Inter chase Mikel for Melo
INTER Milan will look into signing the possibility of signing Super Eagles and Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel if a proposed deal with Galatasaray for Felipe Melo falls through.
The Nerazzurri are on the lookout for another holding midfielder having already signed Geoffrey Kondogbia from Monaco for over €30 million.
According to the Daily Mail, Roberto Mancini is ready to make an offer to Chelsea for the Nigerian if no deal with Melo is agreed. This is due to the fact that Galatasaray are not willing to let Melo leave on a free transfer.
Mikel joined Chelsea for a fee of €16 million in 2006 but has recently found himself out of the first team squad with Jose Mourinho preferring Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic.
Despite this, the Nigerian has appeared in more than 300 games in all competitions for the Blues scoring five goals.
